Grands!

This has been a wonderful last week and so far this week of Grands:)  Last Thursday as you know I had some of the Averitt girls, then this Sunday night we went to Hannah's with Cole and Jack and Victoria, we had a great time, the kids played till the rain came out side, then we cooked, baked a caked and watched movies:)  Olivia was so upset wanting to see me, last time only Steve went down, she thought she was coming to my house when Sean and Sarah left Sunday but they did not have another seat belt, so she was some kind of disappointed, so we loaded up and went there, I almost could not sleep so excited to wake her up the next morning:)  She was happy!
So was Luke, he just screams Nana, NanaNana, daddygand!! Olivia was my shadow the whole time there:)  We went and got hair cuts:)  Hannah drives me crazy, giving the boys a crew cut with her  clippers, so Max and Blake got cute cuts and Liv got her her trimmed:) Then went to Walmart:)
This am we cleaned the camper and had to install a new toilet, which I love, got some new rugs and hung some pics, getting it ready for deer season, for me:))  Cleaned the carpets, windows, so it looks like new:) Went to Walmart and got a foam topper for our bed, it slept so good, plus it rained all night and I slept real good!

This morning got up fixed one eyed monster's
for breakfast for the grand's,  fry a egg in the middle of bread and toast it in the skillet:) then the McGill babies went to school and we came home, sweet Cole cried when Jack got out of the Cole, he said I just wuve my cousins:)  Cole is so easy, he is just about perfect when you keep him:) you never have to correct him, he eats good and sleeps good, very polite:) So proud of him:) Really all my Grand's just might be near perfect:))  Anna will come over next Tuesday after basket ball and spend the night, looking forward to just laying in the bed and talking:) she loves that too, she is growing up way to fast!!!! Then I will run her to school Wednesday, so then I have had them all but Alexandria, with her at College I just have to text, talk and FB right now:)  Well Mr. Averitt got him a new toy, he had sold his four wheeler last year and have been looking for one, especially now Deer season is here, but he had a price he could pay for one, and today on FB one of my friends had one for sale, TADA!!
 love his smile:)

He is excited:)) Early Christmas and Birthday!! Maybe Anniversary, NAH not anniversary we got to PCB for that:)) Can't give that up!   Well got appointments all day tomorrow, listing 30 acres  in West Little Rock, getting loans closed and selling house I hope:)   So excited it is getting so much cooler here!!   Have Bible study here tomorrow night, excited about having people in our home too:))

Catching up:)

Well it has been awhile since I blogged:)  I guess I should look at the last tine so I will know where I left off, but guess I will wing it!  September has come and gone, now October is almost over, so hard to believe! I have kept my self so busy that the days seem to fly by, come in and go to bed and start over, yesterday was my first day at home in months, I had told Steve I just needed to be home, so I planned it, Jill had ask to help with the girls which I loved, then Mika played all day with them and when school was out Peyton and Laila came over, I actually did some laundry, cooked, worked in the yard, Steve really got the yard looking much better, we have so been on the go that it was neglected, I have a friend who cleans for me so my house is usually always clean but there were things I needed to do, so I got it done:)

 Lovie Luv actually likes this:)

 Sydney wanted the big chair:)

fun day with the girls, but boy was I tired:)

Steve and I both were sore when we got up today, but oh so worth it!!   I got all my nurturing done and cooked and clean, met all my emotional needs of being a Nana:)

Last Friday was the day I went with high school friends to Jefferson Texas, which is the neatest little town! We had a great time, the Lord touched me with more healing, my room mate had restless legs, and my mother had the same thing, as I laid there in bed, it so brought back sweet memories of sleeping with mother, then she took her sweet hand and caressed my face, she was asleep, but I knew it was the hand of the Lord helping heal me in missing mother, the next morning I shared with the ladies what happened and how God picked out my room mate, God did a lot that weekend in the nine ladies who went, I am so very thankful I went, I for sure would of missed a major blessing!
 my cat glasses:) and hat:)

Bed and Breakfast we stayed at:)

Before I left April had made salsa, I was given hundreds of  fresh garden tomatoes, April had wanted to sell the salsa for a Mission that we support at Journey Church, so we learned how to can!! Not bad for our first time canning!! Money will go to Journey Church for the next mission trip to help the Cabecar Indians:)

 Lugi's Tomato Salad...........soooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooddddddddddd!

I love to cook but have got to learn to cook for two people, this week I threw out more food that we never ate, makes me feel bad in wasting it! We just are not home much, we eat lunch then eat pop corn or something light for dinner if we even eat.   I put my left overs yesterday in the canning jars so it will keep longer:) BUT I am going to try to cook for two:)  April is here for a few more weeks then she is moving to Iowa to be with Seth and his family, this is against our wishes, but she has plans to go the end of the month. I will miss her terribly but she is 22 and dead set on moving there, with plans to marry. Pray for us all concerning this. Today she bought a beautiful six week old pit bull, in which we can not have Pit Bull's in Sherwood, so it will stay with one of her friends, its just a puppy and really pretty, the last thing I want is another puppy in my home:( but hate it having to stay at her friend's, but our city has a ordinance against Pit Bulls which she was aware of when she bought it:((  The joy's of being a mother and daddy:) Just keep us in your prayers, we need them right now....

I am excited to have a bible study in my home, we will be studying" It's not to late how God uses less then perfect people" by Tony Evans, Pastor John and his wife Kay Sammon's leads it,  so I am getting my home ready for company:)))  We meet every Wed. for six weeks, if your near and want to come you are for sure welcome!  I love this group, it is friends from Church at North Hill's, which the McKimmey's invited me, that is where they go to church, Steve and I have enjoyed it, we did a study on Heaven and then Proverbs now this study.  I have missed church at Journey the last two weeks, so glad to go this Sunday, I have the Journey Kids so I will miss the sermon and will listen to it online again:) But what a blessing with those babies I will have!
Best go, tomorrow is another home day to do some organizing, then work in the afternoon:)  hugs to all and good night!

Vacations, Gotta have them!

As I was growing up my daddy worked a lot, mother worked outside the home and my sister and I had a nanny at our home, in which we did not care for too much:(  I never remembered taking a family vacation, I did have fun times with my daddy riding horses and with mother going to Chattanooga to see her family quite often, had great Roger's family reunions every year, but never a family vacation.

When Steve and I married we both loved the water, swimming, and lakes, at that time I had never  been to the beach so I did not know what I was missing:)  Once our children got a little older we started taking family vacations, Steve worked 80 -100 hours a week, which is almost night and day to provide for us, so we barley saw him, but when it came time in the summer we went on vacation, it was always fun and we never really had the money to go but we always made it a priority so the kids could have their daddy time.  Plus we had family time, some times we only went to Hot Springs for the week, a lot of vacations had to be in the winter during Christmas break, but the kids loved the indoor pool and racket ball and Basket Ball.

Vacations are still very important to me, as you probably know:)  We try to go with who ever can on a family vacation in the summer then again the week after Christmas,  we go some where close after Christmas so who ever can  go with us or come and visit a few days.

If I ever win the lottery the first thing I will do, after I make my children Millionaire's with me, is take us all on a family Disney Cruise....that would be so much fun!  Amelia is ready to go and we may have to do that with them even if we do not win the lottery:))

This has been a much needed week for Steve and I at PCB, Steve and I work about 50-60 hours a week, I know you would not guess that in Real Estate but that is what it takes to be successful in this career, thankful we love it:) BUT we still need some down time and we take it,  this week has been a God send for us, I always love my time with Connie, she is like my sister not my aunt, we have laughed, shopped, ate,
swam, about could not get out of the ocean and I have loved every minute of her being here, we went to Senerity Spa, which was out of this world nice, got massages, did a steam bath, whirlpool, sauna, I told her we had all the toxins out:) then we went and laid at the pool, came back in sat in our chairs and totally relaxed, it was wonderful!!
Steve has played golf

with Larry which he loved, we have played cards and dominoes, things we do not take time to do at home, I have loved the sunsets this week, just have had perfect weather!

 I love her!

Today was a beach day, we fought the waves together:) Tonight is  Steak at Angelo's! I am ever so thankful for this time with my Connie, she has been a rock for me these past few years, she loves me and I love her, we can miss mother together and laugh at some fun memories that we all made!

Growing up when it was time for our family to leave Connie would be crying, not just crying but bawling, she has always done that, so now I already make plans to see her again so neither of us will cry:)  So Come December its to Baton Rouge I go so we can see Mama and Roy and Tiffany and her children too!! I love my family, we made it appoint to take mother to see her family when she was living, I am sure she is looking from Heaven today laughing so hard at Connie and I trying to get out of the Ocean, this man and his wife were trying not to laugh, he ask, do we need help, BECAUSE we were both laughing so hard and falling down not able to stand up in the waves, I knew we had to separate to get out, so we could quit laughing, I told him it was ok to laugh and he and his wife just died laughing which made me laugh harder, finally I got my rear out and then I was going to help Connie but could not quit laughing, I decided to walk away so she could get out, the man said you sure you don't need help and I said if we can ever quit laughing we got this, then Connie got her self out:)) I am sure it was a sight, but it sure was fun!  Hugs and have a good rest of the day! Sorry no pics of our getting out:)

Blogging

Hummmmmm its been a normal work week, had Bible study on Wed. we are doing a Proverbs study, love it! Then our Journey home group started back up on Thursday, was great being back together during the week:0 Just been working and closing loans and selling property:) How I roll:) Saturday went to a 31party and got some Christmas presents and Birthday presents, then shopped some at the mall, got two blouses on sale:) I really do not like shopping, I was going in the mall for a specific lotion that I like.  But the sale racks called my name:)

I have all my fall things out now:) So ready for cooler weather:)

Have to have candy corn for the fall:)

Sunday I woke up nauseated:(( so did not go to church and missed keeping my toddlers, it was my Sunday, then had to get a agent to do my open house, stayed in bed all day:(( no fun!  Today has been so hot, got out, but not for long, it took my energy right out of me!  Took BP at Kroger's it was 99/64 so low for me, guess its why I am still sluggish today. I am not a good puny person, I like to go!  I am so ready for this heat to be gone, not quite ready for snow but ready for fall!  I put my wreath out and my Happy Fall Ya'll pumpkin on the front of the house and I have a pumpkin on porch! Just need a big pot of mums!

This Friday its a little vacation time for us, we will meet Connie and Larry in PCB for a few days, then back to the rock! I am missing mother so it will be good to be with Connie, she is more of a sister then a aunt:)  I made plans for Sept. 27,28,29th to go with my friends, I planned me a belated Birthday party since my close friends were all gone on my birthday:) I had rather keep my self busy then mourn, mother is not mourning she is dancing her heart out in Heaven! I know she will not want me sad either:) I cannot believe it has almost been a year since she went to Heaven.  Tine has flown by. This group of friends have lost their mother too:(

The first weekend of Oct. I am going to go with my high school girl friends, we will meet in Jefferson Texas for a get together, going on the River Belle and just visiting, that will be so much fun too!  We are staying in a Bed and Breakfast:)

When I get home that Sunday we have All that Jazz to go to, it is a fund raiser fro CARTI:)  The money goes to give Scholarships and camps for kids with cancer, Jared was a recipient of the Scholarships!

Well best go get busy just checking in! hugs and love
Well with all that I will be working, working, working so I can play, play, play! Looking forward to the Holidays, my favorite time of the year! I love all the smells, foods, gatherings!

Great end of August and beginning of Fall

Had a wonderful time, we left Thursday and went to the condo, showed property at FFB Friday am, then put on PJ's and stayed in all afternoon, it was blazing hot!  To hot for pool for me:) We went Thursday afternoon then rested Friday afternoon, then Saturday got up and went to Jonesboro to see Alexandria cheer.

Alexandria looked so beautiful, she just shines, she rolled her ankle so pray it heals quickly:)

All hotels were sold out in Jonesboro and we made reservations at the only one with two rooms, well there was so much loud and rowdy people there was no sleeping and we had to get up at six thirty to get home for church and the Haley's had a ball game with Jack man.  Needless to say we would of been better just to make the two hour drive back, but we were creating memories and we for sure did! Got in town for a great msg, on prayer Sunday then headed back to the lake, went out on lake Monday with the Haley's:) Miss the others but its nice when it is a small group too:)

Sean and his family had Given's family reunion with his wife's family,  Alex had a family deal with Jill's family, and Hannah stayed home:) then Jared was with Jen's family and April had to work, she did get to go to Jonesboro:) My Lovie luv went too:)

Of course right when you would go to sleep she heard all the ruckus and would bark:) For sure a college town!  Came home last night and had a exciting sales meeting today, we are starting a listing contest with making teams, so you can win individual for your efforts and then the top two teams get a Limo ride to Author's Steak House here:))) So you know me, I will want our team to win, be battled it out against Alicia Jean:) and that team and three other teams:) Today was a easy day for a Tuesday, got home about five which is a miracle for a Tuesday! Feels good, my  friend made me home made peanut butter ice cream and I have enjoyed it!! So So good!  Now ready for bed, have listing appointment tomorrow and Alicia and Michelle are doing a Motivational class tomorrow:)  Today in sales meeting I surprised my self, we were to role play listing a home, I was the agent and another lady was the seller, this was to let the agents see us in action and get some ideals on how to get listings, when we started I got so nervous, I started shaking, totally surprised me, I have gotten so use to speaking in public, and do sales meetings all the time, but for what ever reason that made me so nervous:) My hands were just shaking, so I just said, OH MY, I am soooooo nervous, look at me shaking, which was a shock to the agents, but I was, just goes to show we are all human and if I can do so can they:))  It went well and was fun, but been there done that do not want to role play in front of the company again:) Just such a strange reaction for me, guess it was because I had no ideal what the other person would say or if I had a come back for any problems, which she did present and I had the answers, you would think after being in this business since 1986 that I would not even blink twice at role playing a listing interview. But it was a fun meeting.  Now home and rested and ready for bed:) So glad it is fall, even if it is still hot, it will be the fall schedule:) We have a bible study on Wed. night on Proverbs, the our home group with Journey starts this Thursday:) Have a busy week with listings, closings and offers:)  A 31party Saturday at Jen's then a fund raiser for cancer Saturday evening, then church and open house on Sunday:)   Hope you have a great rest of the week!! hugs
